Egyptian, Indian Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Cooperation


(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar discussed bilateral cooperation in a phone call on Wednesday.

Abdelatty praised the strong relationship between Egypt and India and affirmed Egypt's commitment to enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. He highlighted recent meetings between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which culminated in elevating the bilateral relationship to a“strategic partnership.” These meetings reflected the convergence of Political stances and development priorities between the two countries.

Abdelatty reviewed key areas of cooperation that have seen significant growth, including telecommunications and information technology, pharmaceuticals, and new and renewable energy. He welcomed the recent surge in joint cooperation and expressed Egypt's hope for continued progress.

The ministers also discussed regional and international developments and agreed to maintain regular coordination and consultation.
