Unlawful Israeli settlers keep assaulting Palestinian communities


(MENAFN) Locals reported that on Monday, unlawful Israeli settlers targeted two Palestinian communities in the southern and central West Bank, attacking residents and causing damage to homes and belongings.

It was reported to Anadolu by Naser Nawajaa, an activist from Susya, a Palestinian community in the southern Hebron governorate, unlawful settlers targeted the area east of Yatta, shattering vehicle windows and damaging a lot of water tanks.

The Israeli government prevent any construction in Susya which lies next to an Israeli settlement established on village land in 1983 with the exact name. Approximately 250 Palestinian residents currently live in caves and makeshift tin shelters, most of which are subject to destruction commands involving a school built from portable classrooms.

Hasan Melihat, from the non-governmental Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, released a statement declaring that unlawful settlers targeted the Arab al-Melihat community as well, which is located northwest of Jericho.

He disclosed that unlawful settlers cleared out water from locals’ tanks and ruined livestock feed. Melihat referred to the attack as part of the sustained pattern of harassment focused on shaping new settlement conditions in the region.
