Ten Additional Judges Sworn In At Peshawar High Court


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Peshawar: Ten newly appointed additional judges of the Peshawar High Court took their oaths of office in a ceremony held at the court on Monday. Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim administered the oath to the new judges in an event attended by judges from both the High Court and subordinate judiciary, as well as a large number of lawyers.

The new judges began hearing cases immediately after assuming their roles today. Six of them have been assigned to divisional benches, while four will serve on single benches.

Justice Abdul Fayyaz will join Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim on the bench. Other divisional benches include Justice Farah Jamshed with Justice Ijaz Anwar, Justice Inamullah Khan with Justice Syed Atiq Shah, Justice Syed Mudasir Ameer with Justice Arshad Ali, Justice Sabitullah Khan with Justice Shakeel Ahmed, and Justice Salahuddin with Justice Sahibzada Asadullah.

On single benches, Justice Muhammad Tariq Afridi and Justice Sadiq Ali have been assigned responsibilities, while Justice Aurangzeb and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah Qureshi will also serve on individual benches.
