She added that Indonesia's recent inclusion as the first Southeast Asian member of BRICS highlights the country's proactive foreign policy.
The two countries have previously signed several agreements, including a memorandum of understanding on visa exemptions for diplomatic and service passport holders, cooperation in science, technology, and innovation, and an agreement between their respective chambers of commerce to promote economic collaboration.
“The event tonight is more than just a celebration of 65 years of diplomatic relations. It is a reaffirmation of our shared vision for the future,” Ambassador Yuliana concluded.
