Kuwait Amir Welcomes Blackrock Chairman

KUWAIT, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in the presence of His Highness the crown prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received visiting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock Company Larry Fink and his accompanying delegation at Bayan Palace on Monday.
During the meeting, His Highness the Amir underlined the significance of promoting investment and economic opportunities and creating a competitive economic environment that bolsters strategic cooperation with foreign companies.
His Highness the Amir also stressed the importance of diversifying the productive and development base targeting knowledge transfer and localization, attracting capital to contribute to bolstering national economy, and developing the Kuwaiti human capital to create jobs for youth in order to push forward the country's development.
For his part, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock Company Larry Fink emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the State of Kuwait and supporting Kuwait's 2035 Vision goals.
Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Noora Al-Fassam and Director-General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah were present at the meeting. (end)
