GCC Chief Congratulates Al-Sharaa On Assuming Syrian Presidency

RIYADH, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Al-Budaiwi sent a message to Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa to congratulate him on assuming the leadership of the country in the transitional stage.
Al-Budaiwi expressed confidence that President Al-Shara's wise leadership will help realize the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, stability and prosperity, the GCC Secretariat said in a statement on Saturday.
He renewed the GCC's firm support to Syrian people in the transitional stage and to all efforts aiming to maintain the country's unity, sovereignty and independence. (end)
