(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Azerbaijan attaches paramount importance to digital development, the country's Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at the Digital Almaty 2025 international forum today, Trend reports.

"Digital platforms and automation are transforming economic processes, changing approaches to governance, and opening up new opportunities for improving people's lives. Digital transformation is not only the implementation of advanced technologies but also a process of creating an effective ecosystem that takes into account the interests of the state, business, and citizens.

Azerbaijan places primary importance on digital development as a key element of its national strategy," he noted.

The prime minister pointed out that on January 16, Azerbaijan gave the green light to the concept of digital development.

"This document has become the main guideline for the country's digital transformation, laying the strategic priorities for work in this area," Asadov added.
