Türkiye, Iran To Adjust Model Of Comprehensive Cooperation In Freightage, Transit Fields

The model of comprehensive cooperation in the field of cargo transportation and transit between Iran and Türkiye will be adjusted within the next three months, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh said during a meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat in Ankara on January 27, Trend reports.

According to her, transit and freight transportation between the two countries will be implemented under this model.

Sadegh stated that the importance of developing relations between Iran and Türkiye, especially in the fields of transportation, freight, and transit, has been underlined by officials of both countries. The development of these relations between the two countries will contribute to the development of the two countries and the region.

The Iranian minister noted that a joint decision has been reached between the two countries to facilitate freight transportation and the participation of Turkish and Iranian trucks in cheap and simple transportation.

“There is a prospect of increasing trade turnover between Iran and Türkiye to $30 billion. Negotiations were held today to achieve this prospect by removing some obstacles,” she noted.

To note, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh, accompanied by high-ranking staff, paid a visit to Ankara today.
