Azerbaijan's Deputy PM Samir Sharifov Set To Join Economic Council - Decree

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree making amendments to a previous order from September 9, 2020, aimed at establishing a new framework for managing economic policy and reforms in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tren d reports.

The decree also annulled a prior order from July 2016 decree "On the establishment of the Financial Stability Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated July 15, 2016, No. 995.

Under the new decree, Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov will now be a representative within the Economic Council.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been tasked with addressing the matters arising from the decree.
