Multi-Layered Defense Line Built In Zaporizhzhia Region President's Office

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, received a briefing on the security situation in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In particular, the discussion focused on the construction of a multi-layered defense line, including circular defense systems for certain towns in Zaporizhzhia region.
As reported by Ukrinform, this information was shared by the press service of the Office of the President (OP).
"During the meeting, Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov reported on the construction of fortifications and the strengthening of operational defense lines. A multi-layered defense line was built in the region, including circular defenses for certain cities. He also provided updates on defense production and protection of energy facilities in the region," the statement reads.
Additionally, it was noted that Fedorov mentioned Zaporizhzhia's leading position among other regions in terms of funding for the Defense Forces. Specifically, the region has provided military units with drones, electronic warfare systems, communication equipment, and vehicles. President Zelensky called for extending Zaporizhzhia's experience in supporting combat units across all regions bordering Russia.

According to the press service, the President also received updates on the enhancement of air defense in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
As Ukrinform previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially introduced Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi as the Commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces.
