Ukraine To Receive EUR 4.2B Under Ukraine Facility In Dec Shmyhal


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The EU Council has approved an additional payment of EUR 4.2 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility initiative, set to arrive this month.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Telegram , according to Ukrinform.

"The EU Council has approved another payment to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility. We are set to receive EUR 4.2 billion this month, bringing the total assistance under this initiative for this year to EUR 16 billion," he wrote.

Shmyhal noted that this financial support highlights the EU's commitment to strengthening Ukraine's economy, supporting key reforms and European integration, and bolstering the country's path to victory.

"Together, we are building a future based on stability, democracy and the unity of Europe," he added.

On November 28, the European Union and Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding, paving the way for the allocation of EUR 18.1 billion in macro-financial assistance.
