Overseas Globetrotters Arrive In Azerbaijan's Shusha (PHOTO)

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, October 26. The British Piki Reels club, a motley crew of 33 strong, made their way to Shusha city after a pit stop in Fuzuli, led by none other than Belgian Yves Bouvier, Trend 's Karabakh bureau reports.

Here, they will get the lowdown on the vandalism that took place during the Armenian Occupation in the specified areas, and they'll also see firsthand the construction efforts being rolled out by the Azerbaijani state in the liberated regions.

The travelers will also hit the road to explore several historical sights of the city.

To note, representatives of major international travel clubs have been on the go, making the rounds to Karabakh and East Zangezur a whopping 11 times between 2020 and 2024. Over 400 foreign travelers from upwards of 50 countries jumped on the bandwagon for these trips.

This visit by the British Piki Reels club marked their 12th trip to the well-trodden path. These trips are the bread and butter for shining a light on the once occupied territories as a piece of dark tourism pie, while also pulling back the curtain on the extensive construction and restoration work that's in full swing. This is no run-of-the-mill tour group, but a bunch of seasoned globetrotters who have set foot in over 100 countries to earn their stripes.
