Kazakhstan, Czech Republic Commit To Enhanced Trade And Investment


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 21. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský to the capital, reinforcing the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic, Trend reports.

During their meeting, President Tokayev emphasized the foundation of their partnership, built on friendship and mutual respect.

Expressing optimism for the future, President Tokayev stated, “The visit of Minister Lipavský will provide additional momentum to strengthen our multifaceted cooperation.” He reaffirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to working closely with the Czech Republic, which it regards as a key partner within the European Union.

The President highlighted the potential for further enhancing trade and investment relations, signaling Kazakhstan's readiness to support Czech investors in the country.“We remain open to collaboration and eager to explore new avenues for partnership,” he added.

In response, Jan Lipavský conveyed his gratitude for the meeting and extended an invitation from Czech President Petr Pavel for President Tokayev to visit Prague on an official trip. Lipavský noted that the growing economic ties form the bedrock of Kazakh-Czech relations, with priority areas for collaboration including industry, green transition, and energy sectors.

The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues, underscoring their shared commitment to addressing challenges and opportunities on the global stage.
