Samarkand To Host Uzbek-Kazakh Business Forum


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 7. The IV Interregional Uzbek-Kazakh business forum will be held in Samarkand on October 21, 2024, Trend reports via Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.

The event is aimed at strengthening bilateral economic and trade ties, establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs of both countries, and intensifying cooperation in various sectors of the economy, such as the agro-industrial complex, manufacturing, services, and construction.

The sides will also discuss new opportunities for joint projects and investments.

To note, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan amounted to $2.6 billion in the period from January through August 2024. This is 7.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2023, when the trade turnover totaled $2.8 billion.

Kazakhstan ranked in the top three in terms of trade turnover among Uzbekistan's largest trading partners for this period.
