Kazmunaygas, Shell Discuss Cooperation In Geological Exploration In Kazakhstan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 25. KazMunayGas (KMG, the national oil and gas company) and Shell Kazakhstan (the branch of the British oil and gas company in the country) discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of geological exploration, Trend reports.

According to information, the negotiations were held between the Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Company, Askhat Khassenov, and the Chairman of Shell in Kazakhstan, Ali Al-Janabi.

In the course of the meeting, the parties emphasized that within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to study new projects on geological exploration and subsoil research in the territory of the republic.

KazMunayGas is actively conducting seismic exploration at five sites in Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, and Mangistau regions, data on which will be received by the end of the year.

The sides expressed confidence that further interaction will open new opportunities for both companies in geological exploration and strengthen economic ties between Kazakhstan and Shell.
