Azerbaijan Ranking In TOP-32 At Paris Paralympics


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 6. The Azerbaijani team is ranking 32nd in the overall standings at the Paris Paralympics, Trend reports via Idman .

The team has three gold, one silver, and three bronze awards.

Azerbaijan is outpacing Kazakhstan, Greece, Latvia, Portugal, Indonesia, and many other countries in terms of indicators.

The leader is China (74-55-37), the UK is in second place (36-29-19), and the US closes the top three (27-33-17).

To note, Gold medals were won by Imameddin Khalilov (taekwondo), Lamia Valiyeva, and Said Najafzade (athletics); silver and two bronze medals were won by Roman Salei (swimming); and another bronze was won by Sabir Zeynalov (taekwondo).
