ICRC Representatives Visit Armenian Separatists Under Detention In Azerbaijan's Baku


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. The representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) once again visited persons of Armenian origin under arrest in Baku, the head of the public relations department of the ICRC office Ilaha Huseynova told Trend .

Meanwhile, it is reported that personal meetings were held with the detainees, and conditions were created for them to communicate with their families.

“Under its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment and conditions of detention of these persons. The ICRC also creates conditions for these persons to re-establish or continue contact with their families. According to ICRC procedures, observations and recommendations for visits are transmitted and discussed only with the detaining party,” the information emphasizes.

To note, in July, ICRC members visited persons of Armenian origin reported by the Azerbaijani side. Personal meetings were held with the detainees, and conditions were created for them to communicate with their families.
