Azerbaijani Mine Agency Counts Mines Cleared In Liberated Territories In July

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported on the demining operations conducted in July in the areas liberated from occupation, Trend reports via the agency.

Last month, a total of 359 anti-personnel mines, 290 anti-tank mines, and 3,079 unexploded ordnances were discovered in the liberated territories.

An area of 6,905 hectares was cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

Following the liberation of its lands, Azerbaijan began operations in November 2020 to clean its lands of mines, booby traps, and other weaponry left behind by illegal Armenian forces.
