Amman, July 30 (Petra) -- The Jordanian Field Hospital Gaza79 began operations on Tuesday, receiving patients and offering medical services, part of royal directives to continue the provision of aid and support to the people of the Gaza Strip.
The commander of the hospital said the deployment of the health facility reflects a royal keen interest in alleviating the suffering of the people of Gaza, adding that the medical, technical and administrative staff began receiving patients with different medical conditions, based on the role of the Jordan armed Forces' command towards the people in the strip.
The hospital's director said the medical and nursing staff included specialists to deal with various injuries, adding it received hundreds of patients on the first day through integrated clinics of all medical specialties working around the clock in their humanitarian task.
The Royal Medical Services deployed another field hospital in Khan Yunis on June 26 amid the escalating war, and it has received over 38,000 patients and conducted 292 major surgeries and 1,251 minor operations since then.
