
MSMEDA CEO Urges Graduates To Embrace Entrepreneurship
Basil Rahmi told students at Misr University for Science and Technology's graduation ceremony on Sunday that the government is committed to supporting small businesses and creating jobs.
“The medium, small, and micro enterprises sector is a driving force for overall economic development,” Rahmi said.“It has the potential to generate significant employment opportunities, especially for young people.”
MSMEDA is responsible for developing policies and coordinating with government agencies to support small businesses. The agency offers a range of services, including training, marketing support, and access to finance.
“We aim to develop the sector, expand our support and funding, and enhance its contribution to economic and social development,” Rahmi said.
He encouraged graduates to take advantage of the Egyptian government's financial and technical support to start their own businesses.
“We offer comprehensive training plans to prepare graduates for establishing and managing projects,” Rahmi said.
“We also provide marketing support, facilitate participation in exhibitions and trade chains, and offer assistance in export readiness and government contracting.”
Rahmi was honoured at the ceremony for MSMEDA's work in supporting small businesses.
