Moderate earthquake strikes east of Tokyo, Japan, no tsunami warning issued


(MENAFN) This morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale struck areas to the east of the Japanese capital, Tokyo. According to reports from a Japanese news agency, the earthquake was felt by residents in several cities, including Katsumi, Isumi, and Chiba. The meteorological station indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 50 kilometers in Chiba prefecture.

Despite the tremors being felt across the region, there were no reports of casualties, injuries, or significant damage caused by the earthquake. Authorities swiftly confirmed that no tsunami warnings were issued following the seismic activity.
