(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Karak, June 27 (Petra) - President of Mu'tah University, Dr. Salameh Naimat, on Thursday discussed with Bahraini military attaché, Col. Ibrahim El Enein, a number of issues of common interest in the academic and scientific cooperation.
During the meeting, Naimat stressed the university's keenness to boost its relations with relevant educational institutions locally and globally by building a "strong" network of international agreements with various higher education institutions in Arab and foreign countries, aimed to enhance the university's position and open new horizons to attract more overseas students.
Naimat added that the university is "continuously" upgrading its study plans and academic programs and establishing "qualitative" colleges and specialties, according to a "comprehensive" vision of the constantly changing labor market requirements.
The university, he noted, has achieved "tangible" progress in international ranking and most of its specialties obtained global recognition after achieving international quality standards.
Additionally, he referred to the university's attention for all Arab and foreign students, especially Bahrainis.
For his part, El Enein praised the "deep-rooted, solid and long-standing" bilateral relations in all fields, established by the two countries' wise leaderships.
The attache also appreciated the "distinguished" status of Mu'tah University by hosting a military wing, lauding its academic and research record and the reputation of its alumni.
