According to reports, security cameras captured several vehicles arriving at the square, from which armed suspects emerged and forced multiple individuals to comply by placing their hands on their heads.

Witnesses recounted hearing a barrage of gunshots, estimated to be around 50, resulting in the deaths of both men and women at the scene. The two injured victims were swiftly transported to the municipal hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Authorities investigating the attack have yet to ascertain a definitive motive. However, they noted that one of the deceased victims was identified as wearing an ankle monitor typically used by individuals on parole or awaiting trial, hinting at potential connections to criminal activities.
