GCC Sec. Gen. Praises Armenia's Recognition Of The State Of Palestine

RIYADH, June 21 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Albudaiwi on Friday welcomed Armenia's decision to officially recognize the State of Palestine.
The GCC secretary general, in a statement, praised this supportive step from Armenia for the right of the Palestinian people to live in peace, justice, and independence, urging other states to follow its example.
He re-affirmed the GCC's unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian cause and the necessity to reach a settlement based on ending the Israeli occupation and establishing the independent Palestinian state with the 1967 borers and East Jerusalem as its capital, according to the relevant UN resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
