IN-Space Launches Pre-Incubation Programme For Early-Stage Space Startups

(MENAFN- KNN India) Chennai, Jun 18 (KNN) The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) has unveiled the Pre-Incubation Entrepreneurship (PIE) development programme, aimed at cultivating and empowering the next generation of space tech innovators.

The 21-month programme will provide guidance and support to aspiring entrepreneurs through the critical stages of ideation, innovation, and prototype development.

The comprehensive initiative is designed to foster a collaborative learning environment, connecting participants with seasoned mentors from leading research institutions, incubators, academia, and prominent space industry players.

Direct access to industry veterans and subject matter experts will offer invaluable insights, feedback, and networking opportunities.

"India's space sector is poised for exponential growth, and young entrepreneurs are crucial to driving this expansion," said Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman of IN-SPACe.

"The PIE programme will provide a launchpad, equipping them not only with technical expertise but also with the business acumen needed to navigate the complexities of the space industry."

The programme aims to inculcate a culture of innovation, propelling scientific advancements that generate socio-economic benefits, contribute to broader economic development, and create new job opportunities in India's space sector.

To be eligible for the PIE programme, applicants must be Indian citizens graduating in 2024 or already graduates. They should not have received any grants, funding, or monetary support from private or government schemes, and all submissions must be original work.

Start-ups registered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on or after July 1, 2022, are classified as early-stage startups and eligible for the programme.

With its comprehensive approach and access to industry experts, the PIE development programme is poised to foster the growth of India's space entrepreneurship ecosystem, unlocking the potential of innovative minds and contributing to the country's leadership in the global space industry.
