Six Killed In Bus Accident In NW Syria


(MENAFN- Nam News Network) DAMASCUS, Jun 15 (NNN-SANA) – Six people were killed and several others injured, yesterday, in a traffic accident in Syria's north-western province of Latakia.

A bus, carrying 29 passengers, hit bridge pillars, near Jableh city, while travelling from the northern province of Aleppo towards Latakia.

Rescuers and fire department personnel were quickly sent to the scene, to free trapped passengers from the wreckage, and transport them to nearby hospitals for treatment, the traffic Police said, adding that, two of the injured needed immediate surgery.

According to a traffic police report, the driver's distraction and negligence were the primary causes of the accident.– NNN-SANA
