COP29 Chief Executive Officer Meets With EU Ambassador To Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Energy, Chief Executive Officer
of COP29 Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov met Friday with Ambassador of
the European Union (EU) to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko,
Azernews reports.
During the meeting, the discussions revolved around the Azerbaijan-EU cooperation, as well as collaboration within the COP29.
The COP29 CEO informed the EU Ambassador about the negotiation process and the COP29 activity agenda. The sides discussed the outcomes of the UN Climate Change Conference in Bonn, stressing the importance of the constructive position of all the parties, including the EU in the successful conduct of the negotiations.
Ambassador Peter Michalko expressed his hope that Azerbaijan, as a host of the upcoming COP29 Conference and a key player in the fight against the climate change, would achieve the best results at the conference. The parties also discussed the organization of COP29-related events this year aimed at the successful implementation of the COP goals.
