Jackson owns the liquor company Sire Spirits and has been active in pushing for industry diversity.

When questioned about the role of African American men in the upcoming election, 50 Cent suggested that many of them might align with Trump. He attributed this support to a shared experience, stating that many black men identify with Trump due to facing charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. Enacted over 50 years ago, the RICO Act is designed to combat organized crime, often targeting large groups and their leaders involved in such activities.

The context for Jackson’s remarks includes Trump’s recent legal troubles. Last week, a New York City jury found Trump guilty on 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records. Additionally, Trump faces a RICO charge in Georgia in connection with alleged interference in the 2020 election. Trump has denounced these charges and his conviction as politically motivated, describing them as a “scam.”
