Karabakh Victory Spurs Azerbaijani-Northern Cyprian Ties Up

Relations betweenAzerbaijan and Northern Cyprus have become more dynamic after thevictory in Karabakh, Yasemi Ozturk, Chairman of the Law, PoliticalAffairs, and Foreign Relations Committee of the Republic Assemblyof the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said, Trend reports.

She made the statement during the First Meeting of the ForeignAffairs Committee Chairs of the Parliaments of the Turkic Statesthat kicked off today in Baku.

"We are very pleased that Northern Cyprus has been accepted asan observer to the Organization of Turkic States," she said.

Speaking about relations with Azerbaijan, the parliamentarianmentioned that historical ties and common values further bind thetwo countries.

"We will continue our righteous struggle. We want ourindependence to be recognized. This is the struggle not only ofNorthern Cyprus but of the entire Turkic world," Ozturkemphasized.
