Azerbaijani FM Meets With Outgoing Algerian Ambassador

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Azerbaijani ForeignMinister Jeyhun Bayramov has received Ambassador Extraordinary andPlenipotentiary of Algeria Abdelouahab Osmane on the occasion ofthe end of his diplomatic mission in the country, the AzerbaijaniForeign Ministry told Trend .

Bayramov expressed gratitude to Ambassador Abdelouahab Osmanefor the efforts made during his diplomatic mission in our countrytowards the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Algeriaand wished him success in his future activities.

The parties highlighted the growing partnership betweenAzerbaijan and Algeria, underscoring the satisfaction derived fromtheir friendly relations and high-level engagements. Theyemphasized the importance of bilateral interaction acrosspolitical, economic, humanitarian, energy, and inter-parliamentarydomains. Both nations reaffirmed their successful collaborationwithin international platforms such as the UN, the Organization ofIslamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, and others.

The Azerbaijani side expressed deep appreciation for Algeria'sconsistent support of Azerbaijan's position, rooted ininternational law, regarding the former Armenian-Azerbaijaniconflict. The Minister briefed the Ambassador on the currentregional situation and the ongoing process of normalizing relationswith Armenia.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed various othermatters of mutual interest.
