Greatland Gold Kicks Off New Drill Campaign At Ernest Giles
Greatland Gold PLC managing director Shaun Day and head of exploration geology Damien Stephens speak to Thomas Warner from Proactive London after the mining development and exploration company announced the commencement of drilling at the Meadows gold prospect within the Ernest Giles Project.
Day highlights that the diamond drilling campaign is being partially funded by the government of Western Australian government through its EIS program. He says Greatland is aiming to extract crucial data on structure and stratigraphy by the end of November.
Stephens goes on to say that the company is excited about Ernest Giles, revealing that access issues had hampered previous exploration efforts at the site, with the last hole drilled in 2018.
He gives an overview of how calendar year 2023 has been for Greatland from an exploration points of view, before Day concludes by outlining ambitious plans for systematic drilling in the coming year, emphasising the need for continuous financial discipline.
