Regulatory Authority For Charitable Activities Marks World Humanitarian Day

Doha, Qatar: On August 19 each year, the world celebrates World Humanitarian Day, an international event that aims to honour humanitarian workers, stand in solidarity with relief and field workers and call for their protection.

Qatar's Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) called for raising awareness of this day to honour the efforts of humanitarian and charity workers, showcase their role in the field, stand in solidarity in their endeavours and call for their protection during their work.

The authority highlighted the efforts made by Qatar and its humanitarian organizations as well as the country's leading role in aiding many communities affected by disasters, crises and conflicts. Qatar's commitment towards humanitarian work comes from the principles of cooperation, integrity and neutrality, as well as the goal of supporting and strengthening local and international partnerships in the field.

Support for humanitarian and charitable work is rooted in Qatari society, and the country aims to remain a beacon of giving and for its good deeds to reach the world.

Qatar continues to support humanitarian and charitable work through humanitarian associations and institutions that are supervised by the RACA in accordance with the best practices and standards that are implemented in the fields.

RACA expressed its gratitude and appreciation to all those working in the field of humanitarian and charitable work locally, regionally and globally, stressing that their purpose is to save and protect lives and provide them with basic needs.
