(MENAFN) More than 10 people have been wounded in a blast at the airport of Derince in Turkey, the area`s ruler informed regional press. The explosion was captured on video, and depicted by spectators as similar to a “violent earthquake.”
The clast happened in mid-afternoon on Monday, with Derince mayor, Zeki Aygün, informing regional press that it was caused at a block of administration-possessed grain storage tower and felt “like a violent earthquake.” Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz stated that 10 humans were wounded, with two in severe situation at a close rest home.
Security camera videos caught the second of the explosion, which sprinkled wreckages all over a close goods yard. footages from further away displayed a cloud of smoke as well as dust mounting over the port following the explosion.
Located nearly 90 kilometers (55 miles) east of Istanbul in the district of Kocaeli, Derince is one of the rare seaports in Turkey wholly functioned by the administration. Derince is a grain transport center, and received consistent imports of grain from Ukraine, up until the Black Sea grain agreement perished the previous month.
