Venezuelan leader blames US for murder attempt

(MENAFN) Venezuelan Leader Nicolas Maduro has blamed his previous United States equal, Donald Trump, of organizing an arrangement to kill him in 2018, saying that the command came straight from the White House.

Talking to mark 86 years since the establishment of Venezuela's National Guard, an anniversary which happened on the same day as the unsuccessful murder effort five years ago, Maduro supposed United States as well as Colombian participation in the assault.

The leader talked of “the personal and direct involvement that former President Donald trump had, the White House, in ordering the Colombian president to prepare the attack,” which he also noted was performed by a “terrorist group” prearranged in Venezuela’s neighboring district.

Maduro went on to say that the following probe exposed the part carried out by Colombia’s then-leader, Juan Manuel Santos, stating that he was “the direct operator from Bogota” who funded as well as prearranged the assassination plan merely days before he was ready to leave office.
