(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and United Kingdom Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons have held a meeting and coordinated steps to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on facebook , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the Prime Minister, the United Kingdom made a significant contribution to Ukraine's stability in its struggle against the Russian aggressor. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the United Kingdom has been one of the leaders in terms of providing support for Ukraine.

Shmyhal thanked Simmons for assistance and personal efforts in the development of cooperation.

“We appreciate the efforts to consolidate partners around Ukraine's victory and restoration,” Shmyhal stressed.

In his words, the conference in London produced significant results that will help with Ukraine's reconstruction and the implementation of reforms.

The Prime Minister also thanked the Government and people of the United Kingdom for their solidarity.
