Already 184 Children Evacuated From Border Areas Of Kharkiv Region


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) A total of 184 children have already been evacuated from the constantly shelled border areas of Kharkiv region.

"We are completing the evacuation of children from Vovchansk border community which is constantly under enemy fire... In total, 184 children left the dangerous border areas," Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, posted on telegram .

He noted that 48 children and 29 accompanying people – parents or guardians – were evacuated from the settlements of Vovchansk community to safer areas of Kharkiv region with the active participation of volunteer organizations. In particular, 27 children and 15 parents were taken directly from Vovchansk town. Some families evacuated on their own.

"All evacuated children, their parents or guardians receive humanitarian and financial assistance from our international partners. Free temporary housing is provided to those who need it," Syniehubov assured.

According to him, specialized services worked with each family in those settlements of the community where the mandatory evacuation of children was declared, information is being checked for five more families and work is ongoing.

The governor thanked the volunteers, local self-government bodies, the State Emergency Service, the military, the National Police, the Civil Protection Department of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and all those who help to carry out the evacuation in the region.

As reported, Kharkiv region is under constant Russian fire, every day the enemy kills and injures civilians and destroys infrastructure facilities. Mandatory evacuation of children was declared in border communities.
