(MENAFN- AzerNews) On July 11-12, the "Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge", jointly
organized by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in
Europe (OSCE), the Atlantic Council, the Bureau of Cyberspace and
Digital Policy of the State Department of the United States of
America (USA) and Tashkent Inha University, was held in the capital
of Uzbekistan, Azernews reports.
Elkhan Seyidov, a member of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth
Organization, participated in the international cyber
competition.
The international competition, which was founded in Washington
in 2012, aims to strengthen measures against cybercrime, which has
become a reality in global cyberspace, to educate the next
generation in the direction of information security, and to expand
innovative technologies against existing cyber threats.
To date, the competition which had been conducted in 11
different parts of the world was held for the first time in Central
Asia and the South Caucasus region. Talented student teams
representing educational institutions of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the
competition.
Young participants gained valuable experience in the technical
and strategic aspects of cyber security by playing the roles of
cyber security consultants in a simulation game of potential
cyber-attack scenarios, as well as networking with top industry
experts. At the end of the simulation game, the teams discussed
innovative solutions to the cyber attack presented.
