Jordan goes through heatwave on Wednesday

(MENAFN) Temperatures in Jordan are expected to rise on Wednesday as a fierce heatwave and dry air masses blowing in from the Arabian Peninsula sweep through the nation.
It is also anticipated that mercury is going above its usual limits in this period of the year by about 4 to 5 Celsius, while most areas are dealing with the hottest recorded weather ever, as for the Badia, Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba would experience blazing circumstances.

The Jordan Meteorological Department has advised residents to avoid direct contact to the sunlight in peak hours in most parts, along with the risk of leaving children inside closed vehicles.

The Kingdom will carry on fluctuating due to the action of the intense heat, with enormously hot circumstances occurring in most areas. The winds will be moderate northeasterly, irregularly climbing.

Today's high temperatures will range from 31 to 37 degrees Celsius in Amman and in several other highlands across the nation, with nighttime lows of 22 degrees and possibly 19 degrees in the southern highlands. The Gulf city of Aqaba experiences a hot climate with highs of 43°C and lows of 29°C.
