
Kakhovka Reservoir Contaminated With Uxos - Officials
This was reported on telegram by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ukrinform reports.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that explosive objects are a separate type of threat. Access to the banks is strictly prohibited for civilians, according to officials.
In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that due to constant shelling by Russian troops, the water area of the reservoir is contaminated with modern-era munitions.

As a result of the terrorist attack, large swaths of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were flooded. Instead, the water level in the Kakhovka Reservoir has dropped to 9.1 m, against the 16.5m norm. Downstream of the Kakhovka HPP, the rapid current lifts mines and unexploded ordnance from the bottom, leading them to drift along the Dnipro where they can detonate at any moment.
