OIS Organises First Aid Training Session

Doha, Qatar: Olive International School (OIS) organised a 'First Aid and Disaster Management' training session for their drivers in collaboration with Unites Nurses of India, Qatar (UNIQ).

A session was organised by the nurses of UNIQ for their drivers.

The session aimed to orient the drivers with situations that may arise while they carry students in the bus.

Sulaiman, official from UNIQ led the session. It was very interactive, bilingual and covered all the key points, steps to be taken when a student/person is unconscious, choked or meets with an accident or any other unforeseen circumstances.

Each situation was demonstrated to give them hands on knowledge and experience about the steps to be taken, such as calling the ambulance and the first aid to be given in different situations, burns, injury, vomiting and choking.

UNIQ School Health Education Programme aims to achieve health-promoting behaviour in schoolchildren, thereby helping them to adopt and sustain healthy life habits and enhance healthy living and productive life.

In addition to focusing on schoolchildren, UNIQ also aims to extend its efforts towards the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school to create a holistic and supportive environment for promoting health and well-being.

The programme was attended by the Principal, Jacob Mathew; President UNIQ, Mini Siby; Vice-Principal Operations, Shalini Rawat and Admin Manager Rhyji Dennesen.
