Doha, Qatar: The Darb Lusail Festival returns this weekend with yet another vibrant and lively event- the Darb Lusail Flower Festival, which offers an enchanting experience for visitors of all ages, citizens, residents and tourists.
The three-day festival started today and will run until Saturday, May 27, from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Lusail Boulevard.
Organized by Qatari Diar, the Darb Lusail Flower Festival is a one-of-a-kind way to enjoy the spring season in Qatar, promising a wonderful experience for all family members.
The general public is invited to join the festival and participate in various carnival activities, which will feature distinct floral themes that will transport visitors to a world of imagination and colors.
The festival includes a number of activities such as:
. Flower float parade - The dazzling parade takes place twice daily, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm and from 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm. The floral floats in different shapes and patterns are decorated with a variety of flowers.
. Characters and performers parade - More than 100 fun and interactive characters will walk down Lusail Boulevard to delight audiences
. The Darb Lusail stops - The merchant booths are decorated with lovely flowers and contain a local market, food and beverage kiosks, and souvenir kiosks, among others.
. Theater performances - Folkloric and cultural performances, as well as DJ performances.
During the Flower Festival, Darb Lusail will be adorned with unique flowers and paintings, where visitors can enjoy, photograph, and see flower decorations of bright colors and interesting shapes. The artistic events also include distinctive performances that use flowers as a means of artistic expression.
The festival is an ideal destination for families, as it provides flower shows, entertainment areas, as well as games for children. It will be an ideal opportunity for children to enjoy various games, art and other activities that are tailored for them.
The festival also features the re-launching of a sports mascot that was featured in previous international tournaments. The mystery mascot will participate in the festival on the first day.
Throughout the festival, Lusail Boulevard will be designated for pedestrians only to give visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy the celebration in one of the most famous tourist destinations in Qatar. The public is advised to use alternative roads designated for vehicles.
The Ministry of Interior appeals to the public to cooperate with traffic officers and abide by traffic rules to ensure the security and safety of all festival-goers.
