KSA rejects to change stance on Ukraine-Russian war

(MENAFN) Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan declared that Riyadh and other Arab regions are taking a neutral stand in the Ukraine and Russian war and want to keep relations with both countries. He also claimed the comment following a conclusion of the Arab League summit in Jeddah on Friday, in which the Ukrainian Leader was present.

The diplomat also mentioned, noting that “since the beginning of the crisis, the Arab countries have taken a position of positive neutrality, opening dialogue with the Russian and Ukrainian parties, while ensuring Arab relations with the two sides,” he also added, “we welcome hearing the viewpoints of both sides of [the] Russia-Ukrainian conflict.”

Without excepting anyone, the Ukrainian President declared that some Arab countries are overseeing Moscow`s “illegal annexations.” Saudi Arabia has refused to be a part in the Western penalties on Moscow, which contains acts to curtail its power exports. As Riyadh kept its collaboration with Russia by OPEC+, a cartel of oil exporters, has strained criticism from the Unites Nations.
