Doha Metro And Lusail Tram Record Over 1 Million Passengers During Eid

Doha: Doha Metro and Lusail Tram recorded a ridership of over 1 million passengers during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, announced Qatar Rail.

During the Eid holidays, the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram welcomed a total of 1,728,394 passengers. The second day of Eid, which fell on April 22, was the busiest with 239,000 passengers. The Lusail Tram also received 52, 663 during the holidays.

The Doha Metro and Lusail Tram were a popular transportation of choice during the holidays as residents venture to various places in Qatar hosting Eid festivities, such as the fireworks show at Doha Corniche and exciting events at Lusail Boulevard.

"Thank you for choosing our networks!," said Qatar Rail in a social media announcement.

During Eid Al Fitr, the network's front-life staff were also present to assist with crowd management at all Doha Metro stations.

Doha Metro and Lusail Tram also recently announced new service hours, which began on April 24. Commuters may now use the metro and tram service from 5:30 am on weekdays.
