(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) ABU DHABI, 28th April, 2023 (WAM) -- Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to the Argentine Republic and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Eastern Republic of Uruguay and the Republic of Paraguay, has met with Ambassador Bernardino Hugo Saguier Caballero, Director of the Administrative Secretariat of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur).
During the meeting, Al Qamzi stressed the critical role Mercosur plays in foreign trade at the regional and global levels.
Al Qamzi discussed with Ambassador Caballero the advantages of the UAE economy and its geographical location, which make it an international logistics centre for export and re-export to the Middle East, Central Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and East Africa. He pointed out that the UAE maintains strong relations with key regional and international trade organisations.
Both sides underscored the importance of enhancing opportunities for cooperation between the UAE and Mercosur members to bolster multilateral relations.
