EJABI, ATU Sign Worker Development Mou

Amman, Apr. 10 (Petra) - Euro-Jordanian Advanced Business Institute (EJABI), the training arm of Amman Chamber of industry (ACI), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Amman-based Arab Trainers Union (ATU) to enhance joint cooperation in the field of human resource development.
The ACI, in a statement issued Monday, said the memo states that the union recognizes EJABI's training programs and activities, in accordance with accreditation standards of the ATU and Arab League's Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU).
Under the memo, ATU will issue participation and accreditation certificates to EJABI's graduates, in accordance with the approved regulations, and joint cooperation in marketing their programs and holding conferences and workshops.
EJABI Chairman, , and ACI Vice-President, Tamim Qasrawi, said "specialized and highly qualified" manpower is a pillar of the national industry, indicating that EJABI is capable of building worker capacities in Jordan's industrial sector.
During the signing ceremony, Qasrawi affirmed the ACI's keenness to cooperate with civil society institutions and regional and international bodies to improve human resources' capabilities and enhance entrepreneurship and innovation culture in the industrial sector.
For his part, ATU's head, Younis Khataibeh, said the world's rapid changes require concerted efforts and launch a comprehensive vision based on science, knowledge and skill refinement.
