(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Airport International Group (AIG) announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 647,563 passengers (PAX) during February, up to 73.7 per cent against 2022 figures. Moreover, QAIA witnessed 5,403 aircraft movements (ACM) and handled 4,478 tonnes of cargo, indicating a 35.8 per cent and 5.3 per cent growth, respectively, compared with 2022 figures, according to an AIG statement.“We are pleased to see our passenger traffic recovering.

These numbers are testament to our collective work alongside our partners in attracting new airlines and opening new routes to regional and international destinations over the past year, as well as the Jordan Tourism Board's (JTB) extensive promotion of the Kingdom in key international markets. By working closely together, we continue to shape an even better-connected airport and further enhance the travel experience for our passengers via Jordan's prime gateway to the world,” commented Airport International Group CEO, Nicolas Claude.
