(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka : Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has released the tourist guide map compilation with the aim of 'presenting at a glance' the tourism industry of Dhaka city to local and foreign tourists.
This tourist guide map was released in the weekly regular meeting of the corporation's engineering department with DSCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on March 13 afternoon.
He said, 'Dhaka is visited by many tourists, especially foreign tourists. This guide map will help them with where to go, what to visit, and how to travel conveniently.'
'This tourist guide map has been compiled and published by DSCC including the location of air-rail-road network of Dhaka. We have made it so that everyone can easily understand and use it,' he added.
Mayor Taposh hoped that this initiative will add a new dimension to the easy presentation of Dhaka's tourism industry to foreign tourists.
He added, 'We have published this guide map in English language like everywhere else in the world to encourage Dhaka-centric tourism industry. We want everyone involved in tourism, including hotels run by multinational companies, to use this map.'
