Iranian Lawmaker Hails President Raisi's China Visit as Turning Point in Asia Relations

(MENAFN) Abbas Moqtadaei, the deputy chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, praised Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's state visit to China as a "turning point" in Iran's relations with Asian countries. Moqtadaei expects the three-day visit to result in positive achievements for Iran.

Moqtadaei highlighted Iran's growing influence in the Middle East as an emerging power in the West Asia region, and emphasized the country's important role in supporting regional security and promoting unification among Asian countries. He also commended Raisi's efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties with neighboring Asian countries and direct significant parts of Iran's economy and international trade towards the east.

According to Moqtadaei, Iran's official membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a clear example of the country's efforts to boost economic diplomacy with its neighbors. The lawmaker's remarks indicate that Iran is seeking to strengthen its ties with Asian nations, and President Raisi's visit to China is an important step towards achieving that goal.
