Hashemite University Advances 91 Places In 2023 Webometrics Ranking

Zarqa, Feb. 2 (Petra) - The Hashemite University (HU) advanced 91 places in 2023 Webometrics Ranking of World Universities and moved from 1,370 to 1,279 ranking among about 12,000 international universities and academic institutions, according to its statement on Thursday.
The statement noted the HU also ranked 26th at the Arab level among about 1,400 universities and higher education institutions and maintained its local 3rd ranking.
Commenting on the achievement, HU President, Fawaz Zboun, said the university has implemented a slew of measures and policies to support and stimulate 'distinguished' researchers, which contributed to achieving a 'qualitative' addition in the number of research papers published in prestigious scientific journals.
The HU's efforts also extended to cooperation with prestigious universities and international institutions in supported research projects, which improved the university's progress in global rankings, he pointed out.
