Turkish share exchange closes Monday’s session 1.84 percent lower


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index saw a fall of 1.84 percent to close Monday standing at 5,096.29 points.

Opening the session with an amount of 5,201.07 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index declined by 95.54 points from last week's end of 5,191.83.

The index's worst worth throughout the session reached an amount of 5,096.29, whereas its day to day peak stood at 5,232.63.

The day to day exchange volume reached an amount of 76 billion Turkish liras (USD4.03 billion).

Throughout the session, 28 shares on the index jumped, 69 decreased, and three were unaffected in comparison with the prior end.

The cost of one ounce of gold stood at USD1,928.40.

International benchmark Brent crude exchanged at USD85.93 a barrel as of 09.56 AM regional time (0656 GMT), a 0.54 percent decline from the ending price of USD86.40 a barrel in the prior exchange session.

The American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) sold at USD79.19 a barrel at the same time, a 0.61 percent decrease following the prior session ended at USD79.68 per barrel.
